Terms & conditions
These terms apply to consumer purchases from Mintkey through this website. Please read them before ordering. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these terms.
1. Business details and contact
The seller is [verified legal entity name], trading as Mintkey, company number [company number], registered office [registered office address]. Contact us at support@mintkey.co.uk, [telephone number, if offered], or [customer service postal address].
2. Products, prices and availability
Product descriptions, specifications, images and availability are presented as accurately as reasonably possible. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, taxes and any other mandatory costs are shown before you place an order. EU destination tax and customs treatment is [insert verified DDP/DAP position by destination].
We may correct an obvious error or withdraw an unavailable product. If an error affects an order and the contract has not been formed, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.
3. Ordering and contract formation
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We will acknowledge receipt electronically, but the contract is formed only when we accept the order by sending an order-confirmation email or dispatch notice. We may decline an order for a genuine reason, such as unavailable stock, payment failure, fraud concerns or an incorrect price. If we have taken payment and cannot fulfil the order, we will refund it promptly.
You must provide accurate contact, delivery and payment information. Keep your order-confirmation email and these terms for your records.
4. Payment and security
Payments are processed through TrueLayer and other providers identified at checkout. Mintkey does not receive or store online-banking passwords, card PINs or one-time security codes. An order is not treated as paid until the provider returns a verified payment result. See our Payment Security page for more information.
5. Delivery
We deliver to [UK countries/regions] and the following EU destinations: [list countries]. Available methods, charges and estimated delivery dates are shown before payment. The current service levels are: standard UK delivery [x–y working days] at £[x], express UK delivery [x–y working days] at £[x], and EU delivery [x–y working days] at £[x], subject to destination.
Unless a different period is agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the period required by applicable consumer law. If delivery is late, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier and explain your available rights. Risk passes to you when you, or a person you nominate, takes physical possession of the goods. Ownership passes after full payment.
6. Cancellation and change-of-mind returns
For eligible online purchases, UK consumers normally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods without giving a reason, followed by a further 14 days to send the goods back. EU consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal period from delivery. These rights have exceptions, including certain sealed software or hygiene-sensitive goods once unsealed and personalised goods.
Mintkey also offers a voluntary [30-day change-of-mind policy: confirm or remove]. This voluntary policy does not reduce statutory rights. Return postage for a change-of-mind return is paid by [customer / Mintkey — confirm], unless the law says otherwise or we failed to disclose the cost before purchase. Use the cancellation form or contact details on the Returns & Refunds page.
7. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
If goods are faulty, damaged on arrival or do not match their description, contact us promptly. You may have rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under applicable law. We will not ask you to pay return costs for defective goods where the law requires Mintkey to pay them. Nothing in these terms limits those statutory rights.
8. Refunds
We will process approved refunds to the original payment method. For a statutory cancellation, we will normally refund the product price and the least expensive standard delivery charge, subject to applicable law. We may wait until goods are returned or you provide evidence of return. Our operational target is [x] working days after the relevant refund trigger; statutory deadlines still apply.
9. Liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or negligence. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of mandatory consumer protections. Subject to that, we do not accept responsibility for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
10. Privacy, accessibility and governing law
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Our Accessibility Statement explains how to request assistance. These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland — confirm]; consumers retain any mandatory protections available in their country of residence.
11. Complaints
Contact support@mintkey.co.uk first so we can try to resolve the issue. Our complaints contact is [verified complaints address], and our target response time is [x] working days. [Confirm whether any ADR provider or online dispute resolution information is applicable and insert it here.]
